Bestar wall bed dimensions

26 setups across 13 product lines, copied from Bestar pages on 2026-11-05. Bestar gives per-size figures in a data block behind each product page: width and height in whole inches, the open projection, and a stated minimum ceiling. Closed depth for its vertical beds is not in the page text. Five Bestar series names in our data also appear in an April 2022 CPSC recall.

Minimum ceiling stated for 18 of 26 setups. Open projection stated for all 26.

CPSC recall #22739, 2022-04-07. CPSC wrote: “This recall involves the Nebula, PUR, Versatile, Edge, Cielo, Audrea, Lumina, Orion and Novello Full and Queen Wall Beds.” Units: About 129,000 (53,000 in Canada). Hazard as CPSC states it: “The wall beds can detach from the wall and fall onto those nearby, posing serious impact and crush hazards.” CPSC notice. A series name on this list does not prove a bed sold today is affected; the recall covers beds sold from June 2014 through March 2022.

How to read the last column

It is the open projection plus 30 inches, nothing more. Thirty inches is a common minimum for a walkway; Bestar asks for 30 to 36 inches around its open beds. If your room is shallower than that number, the bed still opens, but you will be stepping sideways past it.

Wall anchoring must follow the maker's install manual. If in doubt, use a professional installer.
