15 setups across 4 product lines, copied from Expand Furniture pages on 2026-11-05. Expand lists dimensions inside each product description, sometimes in centimetres first. It gives open projection for every bed we checked but no minimum ceiling height, and we found no public install manual on the product pages.

How to read the last column
It is the open projection plus 30 inches, nothing more. Thirty inches is a common minimum for a walkway; Bestar asks for 30 to 36 inches around its open beds. If your room is shallower than that number, the bed still opens, but you will be stepping sideways past it.
Wall anchoring must follow the maker's install manual. If in doubt, use a professional installer.
